On the 21st April 2007, it was officially announced that Portpack UK Limited had been honoured with a Queen's Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category. Portpack achieved the award by increasing its export business and maintaining the growth of its export business over a three year period.
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance, the award is given to the business unit as a whole, in other words it was the entire Portpack team who by working together made this award possible.
Portpack are very proud to receive this prestigious award and would like to take this opportunity to thank all of their customers for their loyalty, continued support and for their contribution to our success. Thank you.

On Tuesday 10th July, 2007 Portpack UK Limited were presented with the Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade, by Sir Andrew Buchanan, Bt., Lord-Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire. The event was also attended by The Chairman of Ashfield District Council, Councillor Harry Toseland and his Lady, Jean Toseland, together with the Chief Executive Mr Alan Mellor. Mr David Hood - Head of International Trade and Information for Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber was also in attendance.
Other guests included the wives of Portpack's employees and representatives from Portpack's main suppliers.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace for the winners of The Queen's Awards for Enterprise. Those representing Portpack UK Limited at the Reception were Mr Andrew Henson - General Manager, Mrs Sharon Henson - Company Secretary and Mr Roy Richards - Senior Commissioning Engineer.
